Your video is so cute. So far this year, I had a finch nest in a box on the shelf by my back door and raised babies. That was in March and April. Then, after she left, a little wren took up residence there in May. She and her fledgling left this past weekend. Now, one of my hens is wanting to lay and possibly nest out there. All of this in spite of us constantly using that doorway, as well as our dogs and cat.

I would love to know what materials you ised to build the fence.

Does not look like headers were installed for the new door or window. Plus you have to walk up and down stairs outside in any weather condition. Poor choices poor quality. I dont mind though. Its job security for us professionals when we have to rip out this junk and charge a premium 😂

You sisnt want the door to open in to stairs but now you have to climb stairs to just get to the door, to me the original was a better way of doing things because it also bubbles as a place to take off muddy shoes when its raining or a place you can set groceries before you have to run them up the stairs. The change seems like a terrible idea and like its not though out all the way

I have no clue about anything that has to do with building a house, but I have a genuine question. Why is the door so far up it seems like those stairs are going to have to be awfully steep to reach that door. Side note I really like the old door more

It is a shame that the original location was taken out and moved. You totally ruined the whole design and look of this home. People with no knowledge of architecture or design should not be touching homes like this. Hopefully, you can do some research on this period of architecture. And then get that original door location back in place. And then apologize to your viewers for this big mistake

I’m confused, you didn’t want to enter the ground level by going up stairs, so you moved the door to enter without seeing stairs? But now you have stairs in front of the door??? And if you want to go downstairs, you’re going to have to go up the front steps and then go down?

VERY popular here on Long Island NY. Most homes, you have to climb up at least 7-9 stairs just to go inside, then an additional 6-7 steps to go up into the main house. These mother/daughter homes are gems now because they have two apartments, two additional separate entrances/exits and they still considered one family homes, so the Town doesn’t tax you on Two apartments.

A house was a tear down. It’s a horrible design. Your redesign does not fix it problems you’re putting lipstick on a pig.
